Midwest Independent Practice Association, or MIPA, is not an HMO or PPO. You don’t need to be a member of a health plan, or join an organization to use the services of a MIPA member physician.

MIPA was formed in 2006 and has grown to more than 500 of the best independent primary care and specialty physicians in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Physicians within the MIPA network share a common philosophy that healthcare can and should be responsive to you, the patient.

The mission of MIPA is to preserve, promote and expand independent medical practice to best serve you, the patient. MIPA was developed to encourage the direct relationship between you and your doctor. Through personal consultation with your doctor, you are best equipped to sort out your healthcare options.
